Course Overview:
This course focuses on the core elements of Operations and Supply Chain Management, offering students the opportunity to analyze, evaluate, and apply these principles effectively. It introduces key concepts, challenges, and techniques in project management, emphasizing its role in driving strategic change within organizations..
Students will gain a comprehensive understanding of how supply chain operations and management contribute to creating and adding value. The module equips learners with the skills to design organizations that achieve high productivity through empowered people, while maintaining accountability, responsibility, and robust quality assurance systems.

Operations Excellence

  • Nature and History of Operations: Explore operational models and theories.
  • Operations and Management: Understand organizational structures, the role of management, decision-making, and the design, planning, control, and evaluation of operations.
  • Quality Management: Learn about quality measurement, standards, costs, and assurance systems.
  • Continuous Improvement: Examine methods and theories, including Total Quality Management (TQM), Lean Principles, and Lean Thinking.

Supply Chain Management (SCM)
