County Wexford Chamber Skillnet is one of 70+ business networks under the umbrella of Skillnet Ireland. A business support agency of the Government of Ireland, Skillnet Ireland is mandated to support private sector enterprise through offering a wide range of subsidised upskilling solutions to help businesses build the skills and capabilities needed to thrive.

County Wexford Chamber Skillnet’s Autumn/Winter Schedule includes a mix of certified and uncertified programmes and collaborations with SETU, UL, TU Dublin and a variety of private training providers. The Network’s training offering includes:
- Lunch & Learns: short, bite-sized free webinars, providing top tips on specific topics
- Open Courses: engage and learn from your peers in other organisations and sectors
- Self-Directed Courses: learn at your own pace, in your own time
- In-company Programmes: tailored training designed for your organisations’ needs
According to Therese, the key to unlocking the full potential of every employee lies in recognising and embracing the fact that people learn differently and possess unique training needs and it is the Network’s responsibility to offer a diverse and flexible training schedule that caters to these individual differences, ensuring that every learner is empowered to thrive and succeed on their unique learning journey.
While most of the funding available is targeted to upskilling employees, County Wexford Chamber Skillnet also avails of funding under Skills Connect. Skills Connect offers free training programmes to jobseekers looking for new jobs and careers. This valuable initiative offers individuals the opportunity to develop new skills or reskill, build confidence and access practical on-the-job training. Starting in October, the next programme the Network is running under this initiative is the major QQI level 5 award in Business Administration which is aimed at individuals seeking employment in office related roles.
