Anne-Marie O’Leary

Anne-Marie O’Leary (MCIPD) is a Human Resources professional and a qualified Executive Coach. Her qualifications include a Bachelors Degree in Commerce and a Masters degree in Management from University College Cork, a Higher Diploma in Human Resources Management from London Metropolitan University and a Higher Diploma in Executive, Leadership and Personal Coaching from Kingstown College. Over the last 20 years, she has progressed her HR career in large Corporate organisations across the UK and Ireland with Cushman and Wakefield, Universal Pictures International Entertainment, CNBC, Hertz Car Rental Service Centre, GE Money, GE Financial Markets, GE Capital Aviation Services and most recently for the last 6 years with Zurich Insurance in Wexford where she has been an strong advocate for the Insurance Apprenticeship and Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging in the Insurance Industry.

Anne-Marie’s most recent coaching experience was through ’Time to Talk’ Coachathon for a UK Chairty Mind where she offered her coaching services for free and was matched to an ex-colleague going through redundancy. We worked through the GROW model, and she set out achievable actions to take.

Additionally, through her LinkedIn post on the Coachathon, Anne-Marie was contacted by a colleague asking her to provide coaching for her as she was feeling unmotivated and wanting to get unstuck. After a number of coaching session, this colleague has worked through her relationship with her manager and feels like she has options for her next career move through work on her CV and interview techniques.

Part of Anne-Marie’s role as a HR professional involves coaching Managers and Executives on a day to day basis on a range of topics. She has  also coached colleagues or acquaintances both during and since completing her coaching course with Kingstown College in areas such as career advancement and career transition, redundancy, performance management and many more topics.

 

Anne-Marie’s experience in transition coaching:

Over the last 4 years, Anne-Marie has been a coach on a Transition Programme called ’Zurich Achieve’ which is aimed at helping people transition into more senior positions within the organisation. The participants come to the coaching session with at least 2 goals to work on and as their coach, Anne-Marie uses coaching tools and frameworks to help them set out realistic action plans. It is fantastic to see them progressing through the organisation.  In previous roles, where Anne-Marie worked as a HR Business Partner, she coached individuals through redundancy programmes. Part of this was coaching individuals at all levels of the business through the process. Throughout her HR career she has also coached talented Executives (CEO‘s and members of Leadership/ Executive teams) through day to day business decisions, strategic decisions, restructuring and difficult HR issues.
